Kaleidoscope Film Distribution (KFD) today announces it is to represent Illuminated Films’ new animated feature, Little Princess & The Legend of Blue Foot.
Produced by Iain Harvey (On Angel Wings, Father Christmas, The Snowman) and based on the hugely successful Little Princess TV series that has broadcast globally across three series and sold more than 3.5million books, the feature will follow Little Princess as she undertakes a perilous mission to save her home from the clutches of the devious villain, Victor Crust.
Casting will remain faithful to the TV series, which features the voice talent of Jane Horrocks (Chicken Run, Little Voice, Corpse Bride), Colin McFarlane (The Dark Knight, Batman Begins), Maggie Ollerenshaw (War Horse) and Julian Clary.
The feature, aimed primarily at the 3-7 year-old demographic, is currently in pre-production with sales launching at MIPCOM.
Series 4 will be broadcasting from Autumn, 2018, with the first three series having shown across networks including Channel 5 (UK), ZDF (Germany), Canal J (France), SVT (Sweden), DR TV (Denmark), Rai (Italy), ABC (Australia) and Netflix (global). Series 5 is due in 2019.
